Cuttings: propagate your plants from cuttings
Taking cuttings means removing a piece of a plant — stem, leaf or root — and getting it to grow its own roots. It's fast, free and, a big plus, the new plant is a true clone of the parent: same flowers, same vigour. It's perfect for perennials, shrubs, houseplants, herbs and many succulents. Depending on the species you'll root in water or in a mix, under cover, with or without rooting hormone, in spring or late summer.
